A Lighting Management System controls, monitors, and optimizes one luminaire or a whole group. It typically combines control nodes, a communications network, and a software panel. Andromeda is Golnoor’s LMS, delivering these capabilities over the Internet of Things.

In IoT lighting control, luminaires or their controllers connect to a network and exchange data with a central server. Operators can switch lights, dim power, and review alerts remotely. Andromeda implements this flow over LoRaWAN, GSM/GPRS/LTE, and LAN.

A traditional timer only follows fixed on/off schedules and does not report real fixture status. Central control adds remote monitoring, power adjustment, fault alerts, and consumption reporting. Andromeda replaces simple scheduling with full lighting management.

Energy use usually drops through scheduled dimming, smart switching, and continuous performance monitoring. Remote oversight also limits waste from late-detected failures. On Andromeda Rana, energy savings of up to about 40% are among the stated benefits.

The right system depends on the use case: streets need group control and network coverage, tunnels need reliability and precise monitoring, and airports/ports need stricter operational controls. Andromeda offers specialized models—Rana, Teta, and Navi—for these domains.
