What role do street lights play in urban lighting?
The quality of lighting on a street, highway, or boulevard depends largely on choosing the right street light. These luminaires are designed for uniform illumination, safer traffic, and better visibility in urban spaces, and are manufactured at Golnoor's factories in Isfahan. They are also known as road lights or highway luminaires and mount on a bracket arm or pole top. Pole height, road width, traffic density, and climate are among the key selection criteria; each model has IES/LDT files for DIALux, and price-list and project-quote links are in the purchase section on this page.

IK is listed only where the datasheet gives it (housing IK). Per-wattage flux detail is in the wattage guide below; beam curves and IES/LDT files are on each model page.
Wattage guide: 50, 100, 150 and 200 W street lights
Wattage alone is not a selection criterion; two luminaires of the same wattage can deliver very different flux. Compare luminous flux (lm) and efficacy (lm/W), and set the final wattage with a lighting calculation. The table lists active Golnoor models by wattage.
| Power | Golnoor model | Luminous flux (lm) | Efficacy (lm/W) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10–45 W | Setareh XS Gen 2 | 1,830–7,640 | 164–190 |
| 20–35 W | Sarina | 2,600–4,200 | 120–130 |
| 30 & 50 W | Soheil i-1 | 3,300 & 5,000 | 100–110 |
| 60–100 W | Setareh S Gen 2 | 9,450–16,100 (100 W: 15,500–16,100) | 152–163 |
| 100 & 150 W | Soheil i-2 | 9,500 & 14,250 | 95 |
| 105–200 W | Setareh M Gen 2 | 17,300–34,400 (200 W: 33,200–34,400) | 165–176 |
| 200 W | Soheil i-3 | 19,000 | 95 |
| 210 & 250 W | Setareh L Gen 2 | 36,400–44,400 | 172–180 |
| 240 W | Soheil i-4 | 22,800 | 95 |

Types of street lights
Street lights are usually grouped in a few ways; knowing them helps you shortlist faster.
- By light source: LED versus older high-pressure sodium and metal-halide lamps. All models on this page are LED, 3000–6500 K.
- By wattage and road type: low wattage for lanes, footpaths and local roads; mid wattage for streets and boulevards; high wattage for highways and freeways.
- By mounting: luminaire heads fixed to a bracket arm or pole top (all models on this page) versus park and decorative luminaires.
- By control: photocell or timer switching up to smart lighting with remote control and monitoring.
- By power source: mains or solar with panel and battery. The models on this page run on 230 V mains; Golnoor also offers solar street lighting — contact sales for models and specifications.
Street lights with poles: poles, arms and heads
The head is the luminaire itself, fixed to a bracket arm or pole top; its spigot must match the arm. Golnoor spigot sizes: Setareh XS and S Gen 2 33, 42 or 48 mm; Setareh M, L and XL Gen 2 48 or 60 mm; Sarina and Soheil i-1 33 or 42 mm; Soheil i-2 and i-3 48 mm; Soheil i-4 60 mm. Golnoor lighting poles and arms are in the steel structures range, and poles can be ordered together with luminaires.
Pole height, spacing and road-lighting standards
Pole spacing and mounting height have no fixed value; they are calculated for each road. The lighting class is usually chosen per EN 13201 or the client's and operator's requirements; in EN 13201, M classes cover motorised roads, C classes conflict areas such as junctions, and P classes footpaths and low-speed roads. Using the luminaire's IES/LDT file in DIALux, you then find the wattage, height and spacing that meet the required luminance, uniformity and glare control.
- Road width and number of lanes
- Pole arrangement: single-sided, opposite, staggered or central median
- Mounting height and arm length
- Beam distribution (IES/LDT file)
- Lighting class and traffic volume
